Changing Colors of Fall

Are these your favorite colors too? Nature does some pretty amazing things when fall swoops in. The cooler weather makes for perfect cozy reading in a comfy chair or snuggling up for a movie with the family. Waukee Public Library has what you need to keep entertained and informed whether you’re staying in or heading out. Sunday hours are back and the library’s “Notice” has everything you need to know about what’s going each day.

Spring Fundraising Success

You continue to impress! Thank you for shopping at our May Book Sale. Book, DVD, magazine, puzzle and baked good sales brought in over $3,600. Three very full tables of children’s books were practically empty by the end of the day. Armloads of “used” books found new homes. Volunteers were awesome, shoppers were friendly and patient, even when lines were long. Thank you all!

The spring Flower Power sale wrapped up on April 15 and got things off to a nice start on the Outreach Van Fundraising efforts. There’s still a ways to go to get to our big $65,000 goal but we’re off and running!

Spring Books & Flowers

It’s a fun and busy time of year! Get your last minute orders in at our FlowerPower Fundraising Sale and then head over to Waukee Public Library for the Spring Book Sale, May 20. The sun and soil are warming up. The redbuds are in full bloom so get your spring veggies in and harden off those tomato seedlings, it won’t be long now! Last day to order from our Plant Sale is May 15. The May 19 Book Sale Pre-sale is for WPLFF donors, and you can always join at the door.
